Dear Parents of Prospective Panthers,
Welcome to the family we call Newbury Park High School! We are glad you are interested in having your child attend NP. Newbury Park puts the comprehensive in Comprehensive High School! We offer so many academic, arts, activity, and of course, athletic programs. We field 26 teams participating in a variety of sports all school-year long. We invite you to do the research in our wonderful school so you too can come to the conclusion that so many other families have discovered: that NPHS is the right fit for your whole family.
Prospective Student-Athlete Form
If you are interested in playing sports next school year, please fill out the prospective student-athlete information form by clicking HERE.
This does not sign you up to play. It simply gives coaches a way to contact you. We value your privacy. This information will be collected by the NPHS Athletics Department, and will only be shared with the head coaches and booster clubs of the programs you select.
CIF, California’s athletics governing body, prohibits coaches from all schools in Southern California from having direct contact (phone, email, letters, etc) with middle school students regarding the high school athletics programs prior to May 1. NPHS coaches may begin to contact families starting May 1, or summer (when a transfer student is no longer in their previous school).

Future Panther Night: Geared towards families who know they will attend NPHS in the fall, as well as families who want to know more information.
Newbury Park High School will hold our Future Panther Night in person!!!! The evening has always been an opportunity for prospective students and families to learn more about the abundance of activities and programs that NPHS has to offer, have questions answered, and most importantly, make personal connections with NPHS students, faculty, and staff. Coaches have also utilized Future Panther Night to meet with student-athletes who may be interested in participating in any of our 26 sports teams. Additionally, head coaches obtain contact information from these prospective student-athletes to be able to push out information regarding their program after May 1, the date schools may contact incoming freshmen.
NPHS Panther Preview Night: Geared towards families who are interested in having their child possibly attend NPHS.
The evening is an opportunity for prospective students and families to learn more about activities and programs that NPHS has to offer, have questions answered, and confirm that NPHS is the right fit for their child. Coaches of various athletic programs will be available to meet with the families who may be interested in participating in sports.
TRANSFERS
If you are already a high school student-athlete considering transferring to NPHS, CIF Southern Section, our area’s athletics governing body, requires families to complete paperwork before becoming eligible. Please click on the link below.

If your family unit is moving to a new address, there are additional requirements for your transfer to be processed as a Valid Change of Residence to be eligible without having to sit out of varsity comeptition.
